۞ Who are we?

We are a typical suburban family with pets, everyday confusion, emergencies and quiet times. We live in a neighborhood on 2 1/2 acres with trees and plenty of sunny play area. The non-aggressive nature of Cavaliers, and the small size make this breed a perfect fit for a young family. In addition to our family, neighborhood children interact with our dogs.  Our much larger dog is rambunctious, to say the least, yet there is perfect acceptance in the family for each dog---no fighting, no biting.
 ۞  Love A Lot Caval
iers is more than a household project. Everyone is involved in taking care of the dogs. Sometimes the dogs take care of the kids, it seems. We raise our puppies in our home as a part of our family.  Our puppies are well socialized with both children, adults, cats and other animals. Our puppies are part of the family.   We breed for health, quality, temperament and for the love of cavaliers.  If you are looking for a happy healthy home-raised puppy, you have come to the RIGHT place.
۞   I fell in love with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel when I
was on the search for a birthday present for my son.  I began my search at the library looking at every pure bred dog I could find.  I searched through several books, before I found the right dog for my family.  For some reason, I had never heard of this breed.  Once I began researching the breed I realized that the Cavalier Spaniel was the dog for us.  Cavaliers are a small breed averaging 12 inches in height, ranging from 12-18 lbs.  They have wonderful temperaments; they get along well with children, with other animals, and they are not yappy--which is common in all other small breeds of dogs.  In addition, they are possibly the cutest dog I have ever seen.   I knew this was the dog that I was looking for.  I began my search for a reputable breeder just to find out that the cost was extremely high.  I could not fathom spending that kind of money on a dog.  At that time, I was a student in college studying to become a teacher.  I was very sad, but I still wanted a family pet for my son.  Therefore, I went to a shelter where I found an adorable sheltie mix.
     ۞
Although Sparky is a wonderful family member, I could not get the Cavalier Spaniel out of my mind.  I continually read about the dog I knew I would never have.  After two years of researching the breed, I decided to spend the money and get a Cavalier puppy for my family.  Again the puppy was bought for a birthday present, but this time for my daughter.  “Hally” was the first Cavalier edition to our family. We were all in love. Every friend, every family member, every person who laid their eyes on Hally talked about how much they liked her.  In fact, when I went on vacation to my family cottage in Michigan, a man stopped me at the gas station and asked me about the breed.  He wanted one of my Cavalier Spaniels for his family. Everywhere I went people had questions about my dog and wanted to know how to get one of these beautiful animals.  Everybody wanted one of these wonderful puppies.  My love for the breed and desire to share my joy with others was the start of my enthusiasm for breeding the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. It is funny that my first instinct was not to spend the money on this dog, because now I have spent thousands of dollars and I wouldn't take it back for the world.  I couldn't imagine living my life without my dogs or with any other breed.
